What are your responsibilities?
The Steam Turbine Lead Technical Field Advisor position will be working independently or as lead TFA on Steam Turbine/Generator mechanical inspections.  The Technical Field Advisor will work with craft labor to disassemble, clean/inspect reassemble, replace and capture all necessary measurements to reassemble Turbines and Generators according to OEM / HTS specifications and manage all appropriate quality documentation associated with this work and issue a quality field service report to be issued to owner. This is a remote position with extensive travel to customer sites.  

Essential Duties
  • Oversee and direct craft labor on procedures and best practices for disassembly, inspection and reassembly of Steam Turbine Generator sets on minor or major inspection types.  
  • Build a self-made database with all necessary information to disassemble, clean/inspect and reassemble Steam Turbine Generator sets. 
  • Write and develop field service reports when assigned as LTFA.
  • Assist with developing HTS field service documentation.
  • Assist mechanical manager and sales with business development and customer relationships
  • Continuously improve standard operating procedures based on field experience.
  • Extensive travel.
  • Timely submitting of expenses per the company policy.
  • Stay up to date with safety training.
  • Submit all reports, documentation and expense reports following the company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What do you need to qualify for this role?
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or similar technical field is preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in power generation plant equipment operations, maintenance, or service engineering.
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
  • Leadership skills in leading TFAs, craft labor, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Projects and Abobe Pro.
  • Possess superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, data analysis, documentation.
