What are your responsibilities?
The Purchasing Manager will maintain the company’s inventory, ordering and supply of necessary parts while maintaining accurate records of all purchases.   The Purchasing Manager will conduct analysis of inventory turns, quote to sales win rates and assist the division management team with implementation of pricing strategies to increase inventory turns or gross profits. This position is onsite five days per week.

Essential Duties 

  • Order new stock up to authorized limits as inventory decreases.
  • Maintain consistent stock of inventory.
  • Source and maintain backup sources for high-demand parts.
  • Establish and maintain supply sources for new products.  Recommend initial inventory levels for new products.
  • Analyze inventory reports and order patterns to identify parts in need of automatic, recurring delivery or rescheduling of open vendor purchase orders.
  • Create and implement inventory reports to optimize inventory turns, quote to sales win rates, pricing, and gross profit.
  • Lead and maintain inventory system.
  • Provide inventory reports to the division management.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors.
  • Review ERP reports for daily goods received and shipments made.
  • Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Lead and direct periodic and annual physical inventory audits.
What do you need to qualify for this role?
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 5 years in an inventory analysis role. 
  • Proficient understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to work with minimum supervision. 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
